Rotary Aeroponics® uses ½ the LEDs of other tower systems, consuming less energy, emitting less heat, and improving HVAC efficiency for compounded energy savings with hyper efficient full spectra and far-red LEDs.

Total system power usage is 100 kWh/day which costs $12.48/day assuming the national, commercial average of 12.48 ¢ /kWh when air conditioning is operating at all times, needed less so in cooler months.

Lower power usage would be experienced in cooler months/regions without air conditioning (reduces ⅓ of power usage). Power usage can be eliminated by combining renewable energy, eligible to be 25-50% funded by USDA REAP grants , remaining costs may be eligible for transferable energy tax credits.

95% less water usage than conventional field farming, or average of 8 gallons/week for each of the 14 tower sleds, totalling 112 gallons/week. U.S. water costs average $1.50 per 1,000 gallons, or 0.15¢/gal.

Self-Nurturing™ seed pods eliminate labor-intensive, failure-prone seedling germination and transfer steps. Anu’s easy to use, compostable seed pods contain everything necessary for healthy plant growth.

Labor rates for planting, harvesting, and periodic tower/reservoir cleaning is on average 60 seconds per plant. Assuming $25/hour, this is $0.42/plant. Rent and final retail packaging/shipping costs not included.
