More About the Brand

Anu™ is at the forefront of the Ag-Tech revolution, making sustainable, high-quality food production more accessible than ever. Founded by Purdue University graduates Scott Massey and Ivan Ball, both recognized as Conexus Indiana’s Rising 30 and Forbes 30 Under 30, Anu was born out of groundbreaking research funded by NASA and Purdue’s Agricultural Engineering program. With a mission to decentralize food production and eliminate inefficiencies in traditional indoor farming, Anu has leveraged cutting-edge technology and strategic partnerships to create a truly scalable solution for growing fresh produce anywhere in the world.

Harnessing over seven years of research and nearly $2 million in grants from the National Science Foundation and other agencies, Anu’s patented Rotary Aeroponics® technology has redefined how food is grown in controlled environments. Unlike traditional vertical farming, which is often costly and inefficient, Anu’s deployable Pure Produce® Containers function like "refrigerators for plants," allowing institutions, businesses, and communities to achieve food independence. These modular, ready-to-grow farms can be set up in hours, producing nutrient-rich, pesticide-free greens with minimal labor. Paired with Self-Nurturing™ seedpods, which come preloaded with nutrients and require no prior farming expertise, Anu creates a seamless, subscription-based farming experience—similar to how a Keurig or Nespresso machine simplifies coffee brewing.

Anu’s technology has been successfully piloted in residential, educational, and humanitarian settings, proving its potential to combat nutrition insecurity by eliminating supply chain barriers and delivering farm-to-table freshness on demand. The company has received multiple prestigious grants, including the National Science Foundation’s SBIR Phase I & II grants for AI-driven farm automation and an Indiana Manufacturing Readiness Grant to mass-produce its 100% compostable seedpods. Through a strategic commercialization partnership with ekō Solutions, a leader in upcycled modular construction, Anu is now scaling its impact by bringing Pure Produce® Container Farms to institutional markets, including hospitals, military bases, and schools.

With a vision to become the largest farm in the world without owning any land, Anu™ is pioneering a future where fresh, healthy produce is always within reach. By decentralizing food production and leveraging automation, sustainability, and smart technology, Anu is not just redefining agriculture—it’s empowering a global movement toward healthier, more self-sufficient communities.
